Janice Grady, Satellite Coordinator

As the Satellite Coordinator, Janice supervises the day-to-day operations of the office. She is responsible for human resources and policy compliance. Her many duties include billing, payroll, scheduling, and client/employee customer service oversight. Janice has twenty-six years of experience in the home care industry and enjoys working with both clients and staff.
Mary Jo

Mary Jo Cuttell, RN

Mary Jo serves as an advocate for the health and safety of our clients and caregivers. In her role as RN, she assesses clients’ needs, creates a care plan and supervises the caregivers assigned to the case. Mary Jo worked in a variety of medical settings after earning her nursing degree in Iowa. Her varied medical experience enables her to precisely identify care needs and serve as a resource when additional services are needed. After moving to Arizona, she spent some time as the Wellness Director of an assisted living community before joining Sun Cities CareGivers.

Dot Scherr, RN

Dot also serves as an advocate for our clients and caregivers, assesses clients’ needs, creates care plans and supervises the caregivers. She attended nursing school in Nebraska and practiced nursing in Nebraska, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Texas before moving to Arizona. Throughout her career, she has held both administrative and clinical positions in medical intensive care units, psychiatric hospitals, insurance companies and a pain management clinic. Her varied experience in the medical field helps her to accurately identify client needs, make recommendations and create a plan that allows them to stay independent at home.

Catherine (Kay) Spofford, RN

Kay also serves as an advocate for our clients and caregivers, does client assessments and supervises the caregivers assigned to her cases. She attended several nursing programs and worked in both hospitals and long term care facilities as both a nurse and nurse practitioner before moving to Arizona. Kay served as the Director of the Banner/Sun Health Residence for Alzheimer’s care and the Special Adults residence until the facilities closed in 2014. She then worked as a case manager at Boswell Medical Center before joining Sun Cities CareGivers. Kay’s administrative experience is helpful in monitoring the caregivers assigned to her cases, and her clinical experience in both medical and psychiatric cases is a benefit to our clients with their varied diagnoses.

Jane Keys, Memory Loss Specialist and Trainer

Jane has worked in the senior care industry for over 25 years in both management and training, with an emphasis on dementia care. She provides on-going dementia care training for our caregivers and works with clients’ families to help them understand the disease. Jane’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Gerontology as well as a Masters in Organizational Management. She has taught Gerontology Studies for the Maricopa Community Colleges and worked for 16 years in a management capacity with the Banner/Sun Health Residence for Alzheimer’s Care before joining Sun Cities CareGivers. Jane is a state licensed Assisted Living Manager and serves as the chairperson of the Education and Events committee of the Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America (AZALFA) and as a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Sandra Vega, Scheduling Agent

As a scheduling agent, Sandra assures that clients are matched with the perfect caregiver for them. She works with families of the clients to assist with any concerns or questions they might have about our service. Her experience in the health care field includes owning and managing an adult care home and managing a wellness center and blood pressure clinic at an independent living community. As a state certified caregiver, she brings over 20 years of experience to Sun Cities CareGivers. Sandra genuinely loves her work and her clients and she is dedicated to providing the right caregiver to provide the best care possible..

Diana Swens, Scheduling Agent

As a scheduling agent, Diana works hard to maintain positive relationships between clients, families and caregivers. She assures that everyone’s needs are met and professionally handles any changes or issues that occur. Her education and experience as a medical assistant, sports medicine technician, occupational and physical therapy assistant, x-ray technician and 20 years in home care help her better understand the needs of both our clients and caregivers. Diana is a team player and loves helping people. Her goal is to help as many people as she can for as long as possible.
