Janice Grady, Office ManagerJanice began her career in the home care industry in 1992 and specifically working with Lola Judy in 1999. Her many duties in the office manager roll include billing, payroll, scheduling, client and employee customer service, and managing the day-to-day changes that occur in this busy industry.
Janice was born and raised in Rhode Island (you may detect the accent). She moved to Arizona in 1983 with her two children. She and her husband now enjoy their beautiful grandchildren.
Mary Jo Cuttell, RNMary Jo Cuttell serves as an advocate in the health and safety of our clients and caregivers. In her role of RN, she assesses her clients and maintains supervision of both the client and the caregivers that serve the client.
Mary Jo was born, raised and educated in Iowa. She graduated from St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa. She practiced as an RN in various positions in Iowa, relocating to Phoenix in 1998. In 2003, she accepted the position as RN/Wellness Director of assisted living at a retirement and assisted living community in Sun City, AZ. Mary Jo came on board with Sun Cities CareGivers in February 2007.
Mary Jo and her husband reside in Peoria and have a daughter who is a registered nurse in Waterloo, Iowa.
Dorothy Scherr, RNDorothy, she’d rather be called Dot, was born and raised in Indiana. She attended nursing school in Omaha, Nebraska at Bishop Clarkson School of Nursing. Dot has practiced nursing in Nebraska, Maryland and Texas. After relocating to Arizona, she has found a home with Sun Cities CareGivers.
Dot’s extensive career includes both clinical and administrative nursing positions. She has worked in ICU/CCU, Psychiatric hospitals, home health care, nursing homes and spent time doing utilization management.
Dot resides in Sun City and enjoys the many benefits of living in our retirement community.
Kay Spofford, RNKay was born and raised in Central Massachusetts. She began her nursing career after attending nursing school at Fitchburg State College. Kay worked in hospitals and long term care facilities doing both clinical and administrative duties. Looking for more responsibility, she received her Family Nurse Practitioner credentials at Boston College and worked for organizations in Massachusetts and in Hartford, CT as a nurse practitioner.
Kay and her husband, Glenn, vacationed for many years in Arizona. Arizona became their new home in 2003. They have many pets and chose Black Canyon City to reside because of the acreage they needed.
Kay went to work for Sun Health/Banner and became the Director of the Alzheimer’s Residence and the Special Adults Residence in Peoria. When Sun Health/Banner closed the Alzheimer’s Residence in 2014, Kay looked for an opportunity to work with clients in a nurse care manager position. We are pleased that she chose Sun Cities CareGivers as her new employment family.
Jane Keys, Memory Care SpecialistJane joins our team to educate and provide on-going dementia training to our administrative staff and caregivers in caring for our clients, and family members caring for their loved ones. We are finding an increased number of clients with dementia diagnoses that want to stay in their own homes instead of being placed. She will guide us through appropriate ways to understand and care for their needs, mentally and physically, and keep them safe in their home environment.
Jane has worked in our community over 16 years in a management capacity with the Sun Health/Banner Alzheimer’s Residence. Jane is a state licensed Assisted Living Manager. She serves as the chairperson of the Education and Events Committee of the Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America (AZALFA). Jane has also taught Gerontology Studies for the Maricopa Community Colleges.
Jane moved from Utah to Arizona in 1991. She has two children, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jane and her high school sweet-heart and dog Katie make their home in Sun City.
Shelley Ouimette, Staffing CoordinatorShelley Ouimette has over 25 years in the retirement/senior housing industry. At age 21, Shelley began a long career in an independent retirement community as Director of Housekeeping and later becoming the Activity Coordinator. In all she spent 17 years with the community before moving into the home care industry.
In 1996, Shelley entered home care as a caregiver. She experienced first hand the needs of the clients we serve. She became a state certified caregiver and took on the management of satellite support offices located in independent retirement buildings. Today, Shelley has transitioned into the very critical role of staffing coordinator. She interfaces with both clients and caregivers and makes the magic of staying at home safely, a reality.
Shelley was born in Decatur, IL but has lived all but two of her years in Arizona. She is married and has two sons and 2 grandchildren.
Natalie Henrichsen, Sales & MarketingNatalie Henrichsen was born in northern Kentucky and moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. She graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and communication and began her career in senior services as sales manager at The Springs of Scottsdale Retirement Community. Natalie later spent 15 years as the Marketing Director of The Carillons Retirement Community in Sun City. In 2000, Natalie acquired her Certified Assisted Living Manager’s License and spent some time managing communities before joining Sun Cities CareGivers in November 2006.
Natalie and her daughter live in Glendale with their three dogs, Stevie, Latifah and Ludy.
