Sun Cities CareGivers Testimonials

We are here to give you a Helping Hand…

Sun Cities CareGivers will continue operating as a home care agency employing all of its staff, administration and caregivers alike. We will continue to send registered nurses to assess each client and prepare a care plan that address the care and safety needs of the client and instructions for the caregivers to follow in the care of our client. The registered nurse will follow the client and supervise the client’s caregivers while we are providing care. We will continue to:
  • RN assessment done prior to starting service; prepares the care plan that the caregivers use in the client's home
  • Employ our caregivers and provide payroll checks with tax deductions
  • Distribute W2’s at the end of each year to the employee
  • Do background checks, require fingerprint cards, and process E-Verify paperwork to satisfy the right to work legally in the United States for all employees
  • Collect current negative TB tests yearly and verify current CPR and First Aid training
  • Keep current DMV records and insurance information on employee’s vehicles
  • Provide Liability, Workers Compensation and Bonding insurance
  • 24/7 on call attendant to answer your calls

All things not being equal, do your homework. There are many Registries/Agencies that just sign up caregivers who in fact are actually independent contractors. These companies do not provide all of these safeguards.

Always know who you are doing business with. A life depends on it.

In November 2015, the Department of Labor changed the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) companion exemption act. Under the original ruling in 1978, companions/caregivers were not bound to minimum wage (except in certain states) and not paid overtime when caring and providing safety for the elderly. In this new ruling, companions/caregivers will be paid, at least, the prevailing minimum wage and will receive overtime for any hours worked over 40 in a week. In January 2017, the minimum hourly wage in Arizona increased to $10.00 per hour.
